Project Statement: I mark time and make things bybuilding up layers of material. It has been a fundamental occupation of minefor as long as I can remember. I think of my grandmothers’ rag rugs and quiltsmade from scraps of old cloth. They wouldn’t have called themselves artists butthey did what artists do:  transforming material and experience into newidentity and function.
I am finding out what thecorrect level of finish is in each work, the whole body of work and what goeswith what.
