I love how Facebook makes it easy for me and other educators world-wide to interact and share teaching strategies, tips, and inspiration. I enjoy the stories shared and wonderful advice I receive from teachers on my Teaching Resources Facebook page.

To help make my Facebook page a place for even greater sharing of ideas, advice, and inspiration among the teaching community, I am adding a fun weekly feature called The Wednesday Buzz! I'll post a discussion question on Facebook every Wednesday evening, and every Friday I'll choose a winner from those who respond. Some weeks the winner will be able to select any product on my website for under $20, including Power Reading Workshop or Graphic Organizers for Reading: Teaching Tools Aligned with the Common Core. Other weeks I will give away a featured product. Either way, you have a chance to win a Teaching Resources product every week!

I do love giving away free teaching materials, but I have to be careful about this due to Facebook's rules for giveaways. So instead of notifying winners through Facebook, I'll announce the winners in my free newsletter, Candler's Classroom Connections. Please be sure to sign up for the newsletter if you aren't already receiving it.

I'll be posting my first giveaway question this Wednesday, so read on to find out how you can participate!

How to Enter and Win

1. Sign up for the free Candler’s Classroom Connections newsletter. Home email addresses are less likely to block my emails. Note: If you try to sign up and receive a message about updating your profile, you are already signed up. 
2. Go to my Teaching Resources Facebook page and click the Like button. If it has a check mark and says "Liked," you already receive my updates.
3. Watch for a Teaching Resources Facebook status update every Wednesday evening with the buzzing bee logo at the top of this page. This means I posted the Wednesday Buzz question or discussion starter. 
4. Respond by commenting on that status update before 12 midnight on EST on Thursday. Note: Detailed responses that share information and ideas that will benefit others give you the best chance to win. Some weeks I choose the winner randomly, and other weeks I choose the winner by reading the responses. 
5. Share the question with your friends on Facebook - at least 25 people must enter for me to choose a winner. 
6. Check the Candler's Classroom Connections newsletter on Saturday morning to see if you won.
7. If you win, email help@lauracandler.com to claim your prize!
